Need more than 3 news articles

Where is the setting for the number of articles? Only allows three now. Is that a default?

You can configure the module in many ways, all via its settings.

NS. There only about 17 tabs in the module configuration. Haven't seen anything that stands out about number of articles. Maybe a little more detail?

It depend on many things. First of all, what is your data source set?

Depending on the type you are using - either Article layout tab or Links layout tab should give you the ability of setting up limits.
