Storefront Main Menu with NSP5

Hi, im developing a site with the storefront quickstart template for joomla 3.

Im trying to do a menu with images for the main categories of the virtuemart store like the news loading from K2 content on Storefront template mainmenu.

I can see that NSP5 is loading the data but i´ve tried to make two columns or more with articles inside the menu.
How is it possible to make this type of modifications on the main menu? thanks in advance

You can manage the columns amount in the article layout settings under the module options - but please remember that you will have to make the submenu columns much more wider (under the template menu settings).
