Can't get columns rows right

I have been using NSP for some years now and since I use GK5 I can get it setup like this:

I use default and want to set it up with 2 columns and 1 row as the source I use a Joomla news category with let's say 10 articles in it.

The first two articles show up right, but below this the module creates a lot of white space.

See attached images. What goes wrong here? It seems it doesn't take the number of rows.
