Module Mode Corruption?

Hi,

I've just updated a local test server and my main site with the newest version of News Show Pro GK5 (1.3.6) and I've noticed that under the basic settings tab if you try and set the Module mode it lists some strange entries....

For example MOD_NEWS_PRO_GK5_HIGHLIGHTS & MOD_NEWS_PRO_GK5_VIDEOGALLERY....

Is this because I am missing some additional modules?

I've attached some images below to show what happens when you select the Highlights Module Mode...

In terms of fixing I have re-installed the module several times and cleared my Browsers cache/cookies several times.

I have also tried to go back to 1.3.5 of News Show Pro by downloading the latter from the updates section of this site, but all this does is download 1.3.6 again.

Note I am using Google Chrome and the latest version of Joomla i.e. 3.2.1...

Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you use latest News Show Pro module? If yes please try to overwrite language file again in root/languages/en-GB directory with this one which you will find in downloaded zip package.

I have used the latest News Show Pro Module (re-installed it several times, cleared the cache, cookies etc) and also did what you suggested but this does not work.

There is certainly an issue with the Module as I updated the new Game Template on my test server (which was running 1.3.5 of the module before I added 1.3.6 and this produces the same problem).

Additionally If you enable the "Read More" option within the Game Templates Coming soon module configuration setting, it also displays the text MOD_NEWS_PRO_GK5_PORTAL_MODE_HIGHLIGHTS_READMORE_VALUE on the front page and breaks the CSS - please see screenshot.

I would go back to 1.3.5, but I don't have the files and as I mentioned before in the download section it only downloads the latest version no matter what you select.

It looks like not updated language file, could you overwrite this file via FTP connection? It is located in root/languages/en-GB directory.

I did try the FTP side of things but this did not work.

However I did do a comparison to version 1.3.5 of the language file (which I found via the Game Templates Quickstart installation folder). And I think the main difference is the 1.3.6 language file seems to have some important lines missing. Namely the Highlights and VideoGallery code! (this rings a bell )

For example in 1.3.5 of the language file has two sections that reference the above Keys..

These I think are missing from 1.3.6 which I think is the main cause of the problem?

Anyway I decided to copy/paste the above code back into the 1.3.6 language file (en-GB.mod_news_pro_gk5.ini) i.e.. I pasted this at the end of the existing code and saved the changes and re-uploaded this to the root/language/en-GB directory and it worked!

Hmm...I've checked changes between 1.3.5 and 1.3.6 version and there are no changes inside language file but to clarify when you use file from game package something is missing? Just the text in select or also tabs description?

Hi the language file was from the new Game template but for Joomla 3.

The text that I highlighted was missing in version 1.3.6 and this resulted in the back-end tabs description not displaying properly and also the front-end. Re-adding this text seemed to resolve the problem for me.

Note: All the files were downloaded from the Update section of your site.
