Wordpress msocial theme

I just checked and saw that there is an update for one of themes I purchased.

What is the recommended best practice, is it safe to upload the entire zip file, replacing the older version?

Should I just upload the modified files?

I have not modified any core Wordpress files.

I am not using a child theme - speaking of, is there a child theme available for msocial, and if so, where can I get it?

If you didn't modify theme files, you can replace the whole directory (remeber about the backup!).
