I got the never-ending database installation problem
the install creating tables in database but not creating config file

Tried everything!
disable display errors, output buffering
increase memory_limit, max_allowed_packet, upload_max_filesize to 128M

Im using wamp with apache 2.4.2. php 5.4.3, mySQL 5.5.24
the error happening with joomla 2.5 and 3.2 install
PLEASE HELP

Got teamviewer if you want remote access

1) could you run WAMP with Administrator rights ?

Yes, im running it on administrator.
And if im trying to install conf manually, the site becomes a blank page /=
What am I doing wrong??

I have no idea what have you done right and what wrong...
maybe use XAMPP or JAMP (jamp.joomla.pl/en/) - they should works better.

1) This is your first Joomla installation process ?
2) I can make for you quick installer but I'm not sure if this help. But maybe ?? Check your Inbox in PM

I had the same problem. The forum of wamp had the solution for me.

Change de php.ini file (using wampmanager!! gets you to the right file) and look for "max_execution_time = 60" and change it to 240 or more.
then the installation went allright.

You have to change it back afterwards.
