As a source of content for GK Tabs you can use modules, but not articles itself.
So use GK NSP GK5 for tab 1 and tab 2 - using different settings
or different modules which have those features

Manual: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... /tabs-gk5/
Find this part..
If you are using modules as a Tabs – you have to select for them module positions from tab1, tab2, tab3….tab10 and of course publish them.

In shortcut:
1) For at least two modules change positions to "tab1" and for second "tab2", they must be published - I suggest to all subpages
2) Use GK Tabs module :
a) in Basic tab choose Module data source [Tabs manager]
b) in Tabs add new tab : write title, Content type: Module, Content: select [tab1, tab2... depending of which module you want to use
c) Save tab and add another one
3) Publish GK Tabs module on chosen module position from layout.
