Please try rename /html/com_virtuemart/ to /html/_com_virtuemart/ . eSport is a very old template and a support for extentions ended some time ago, so it's most probably because of the overrides for VM.

I think you're referring to rename folder is inside: root / templates / esport / ....

capisco che il template e un po' vecchio, ma io l'ho acquistato il 20 dicembre 2014.

Dato che nello stesso server e database ci sono anche:

www.lorisport.com (Joomla 1.5.26 e Virtuemart 1.1.2 funzionante)

mi aspetto che la versione base di Gavick eSport funzioni, ma così non è.

Vi chiedo di indicarmi come risolvere il problema o di restituirmi il costo del template 39€ e di PayPal 0,82€.

Looks like problem is connected with paths to files. When I disabled SEF links in joomla global configuration everything works fine. I've also tested it with a joomla default template to be sure it's not template related.

For example path to a logs folder is /web/htdocs/www.lorisport.com/home/GavickBase/logs any idea why is this "home" element there ?

You can update joomla, but last VM version template supports is in use already, so I would test it first with site backup. This is a very old unsupported template so an update to VM style will not be released.

I can see that this is problematic if You want to keep at least some of the extentions up to date. I'm gonna ask programmers when the VM will be updated or if it will be updated at all. Will let You know when I'll got an answer. Please prepare joomla panel access and ftp. I'll try to fix it myself if update is not planned.

If I had known, as you're telling me that the template is no longer updated, probably not used to buy. At least in the past, having bought your template for other companies and knowing the great quality of your past jobs, I was sure I did not have problems buying eSport.

For now I am very satisfied that I have been providing assistance that is quick and decisive response of the problems.

Se avessi saputo, come mi stai dicendo che il template non viene più aggiornato, probabilmente non lo acquistavo. Per lo meno avendo acquistato in passato i vostri template per altre ditte e sapendo la grande qualità dei vostri lavori passati, ero certo di non riscontrare problemi acquistando eSport.

Per ora sono molto soddisfatto dell'assistenza che mi state fornendo che è rapida e risolutiva dei problemi che riscontro.

In this case I do not know why server is showing Error 500. Can You please try to install the quickstart on Your own ? I have uploaded quickstart package to /GavickBase folder where I've also tried to move previously uploaded files. I moved the site which was there before to /_OLD_ folder in the same directory.

First a quickstart eSport looks different on Your server than the same version installed on mine and not error 500 while trying to install new joomla. Please write when You will know anything new. Please install it one more time, but during installation select language English (United Kingdom). As You can see from error tables with language suffix "_en_gb" was not created during first installation. Selecting English (United Kingdom) as a language for installation will fix this issue.

You can also try to do this this way: https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... quickstart but the first I've mentioned is much faster.

3 I installed on www.lorisport.com/GavickBase3ITA language is Italian for Joomla for Virtuemart (and appeared problems as you can see).

I need to solve the problem with the Italian language.
The problem depends on the template, since I have already done in the local data migration to Joomla Virtuemart 3.3.6 and 3.0.4.

Scusa, ma non hai capito, c'è un problema con la lingua italiana una volta installata.
Ho proceduto come segue:
1 ho installato www.lorisport.com/GavickBase3 (e funziona)
2 ho installato www.lorisport.com/GavickBase3ITA (e con la versione standard funziona)
3 ho installato su www.lorisport.com/GavickBase3ITA la lingua italiano sia per Joomla che per Virtuemart (e sono comparsi i problemi come puoi vedere).

Mi serve risolvere il problema con la lingua italiana.
Il problema dipende dal template, dato che in locale ho già provveduto alla migrazione dei dati a Joomla 3.3.6 e Virtuemart 3.0.4.

Successivamente, alla risoluzione del problema, devo aggiornare Virtuemart alla versione 3.0.4 per poi procedere alla migrazione dei dati.

Apparentemente il sito funziona, ma quando si configura la lingua predefinito in italiano il problema ricompare.

e non ho ancora verificato se la parte amministrativa di Virtuemart è in italiano e se funziona.

Prova anche tu a mettere la lingua predefinita italiana e poi vedrai che il problema ricompare.

Altrimenti è meglio se mi restituiate i soldi.

But this is normal. You only have VM categories and products in English version. So modules are configured to show products which does not exists in Italian language and this is why error is showing. You just need to make Italian copies for category products or copies of modules to show Italian content.

Same issue but from a different reason this time. You have created new categories but not changed modules sources to use them. So they was trying to use not existing category IDs and that's why the problem occures. Also You only have VM for IT there, so You need to configure modules while joomla panel is in IT language.

The proof of what I said is the site eSport which was migrated from me from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5 and VM and VM with your custom template. Mi sai dire la procedura corretta per risolvere il problema (passo per passo).

Io in passato ho migrato, in più occasioni e senza grandi problemi, i dati da Joomla 1.5.X standard a versioni con template personalizzati e con Viruemart. Non so se le cose si sono molto complicate con Joomla 3 e Virtuemart 3?

Ci sarà una procedura da seguire per travasare i contenuti (Virtuemart) da un sito Joomla standard a un altro con template e moduli personalizzati? Anche perchè non tutti i siti sono in inglese e sono molti i costruttori di siti che inseriscono i contenuti in Joomla e Virtuemart standard per poi migrano alla versione con template personalizzato, oppure passano da una versione Joomla e Virtuemart con template vecchi a una versione del CMS e VM con template nuovo.

La prova di quello che ti ho detto sta nel sito eSport il quale è stato migrato da me da Joomla 1.5 e VM a Joomla 2.5 e VM con il vostro template personalizzato. Da parte mia, il lavoro di migrazione e inserimento nel Template eSport è avvenuto senza problemi, ma da parte vostra i problemi sono stati talmente tanti da richiedermi di cambiare Template.

I do not know how to explain it better. I've already made a website for You showing that it works adn have not used any programming skills. Just installed the missing language using joomla installer and adding new language to contents. Problem is not with template, but with News Show Pro GK5 module which cannot see articles which does not exists in all languages and showing errors.

NSP module is using a selected language tag to pick up data from databse:

- en-GB = en_gb_virtuemart_products
- it-IT = it_it_virtuemart_products

(above is not accurate, just an example to show You how it works)

So when You are migrating the content than You have only one language since old VM was not supporting it same way. Which means that either EN or IT has nothing in it's translations, but product exists. Thins is where this error comes from.

Fastest solution: DO NOT USE NEWS SHOW PRO TO SHOW VM PRODUCTS. That's all. Sorry if I sounded complicated.

Another solution: In NSP settings You have a place to override suffix, so You just need to check which suffix has product names and add it to module configuration.
