front page no black boxes like on demo`

How do i remove the black boxes and have the articles show like they do on the demo? i couldn't use the quick start as i was converting a live site.

In frontpage of our demo site we don't show articles there but making custom modules and use suffix "box bubble" for them to display like what you see here

They are top1, top2, and top3. As I said, you should install quickstart to get demo's configurations yourself.
