Only frontpage shown after cache activation

Dear all,

I have a strange issue.
After installing and setting up the homepage I switched on caching to improve loading times for the site.
The strange thing is, that after activating the caching (system-cache & plg_gkcache), i can only see the front page, no matter on witch link i click. If deactivate the system-cache, all links show up, but i have no caching.

What am I doing wrong?

Settings:
Joomla 3.0.2
Template: GK_Fashion (quickinstall template)
Cache settings:
System - Cache ON (loading pos 9)
System - GK Cache ON (loading pos 0)
System - GK Extended Cache OFF (loading pos 0 after GK Cache)

Hi,

I setted it up as documented in (https://www.gavick.com/documentation/joomla-extensions/extensions-for-joomla-1-6/gk-cahce-plugin/) but it didn't had any different result.

I tried to refresh the Web page several times, tried differend browsers and used the ‘Purge Expired Cache’ option found in the ‘System>>Purge expired Cache’ (and not as described ‘Site>>Maintenance’).
No change.

system-cache is still activated. Is this correct?

Hi everybody,

i disabled the standard "system-cache".
Twice cross-checked documentation to be correct.

deleted all caches (standard cache, exired cache, Browser cache,...)

Still no change. Only frontpage is shown.
If i deactived "GK Extended Cache" all links are working but i have no caching.
As soon as i reactivate "GK Extended Cache" I have the same issue: Only frontpage is shown, each click on a link (frontpage loink or menu link) shows only frontpage.
The address in browser shows correct path.

Really strange to me.
Can anybody confim my experience?
Is there something working different with Joomla 3?
Or am I doing something totally wrong?

Hi Konrad,

I reproduced the error locally on a MAMP System based on the documentation ( https://www.gavick.com/documentation/joomla-extensions/extensions-for-joomla-1-6/gk-cahce-plugin/).

It's still the same issue on http://neu.edmb.de

Can you confirm the error or is there a mistake in the configuration? :?:

PS: The templates you create are really great. However there seems to be a issue with joomla 3(3.0.2)

Exactly the same problem on joomla 3.1 and the News Magazine Template.

sorry, I did not find any solution and there was no reply. :cry:

Seems as it's a bug, but nobody here relly cares about...
So i deactivated the caching.

Or did you find any solution?

No I haven't found any solution

I have exactly the same problem as you described and can't understand why.
Maybe there is a bug, but I really would like to make it work. So I'm still searching ;-)

I'll tell you if I find a solution.
