I'm using Template The World News II Joomla version 2.5.11 and also in version 3.x, but the SEO settings, specifically [Search Engine Friendly URLs] and [Use URL rewriting] are only working on 3.x when set up for j2.5.11 any site url back home and the index2.php
Thus, we have a problem of Template in this case?
For both versions were installed by quickstart and then went altering the site to my content ...
Can check if any conflict Template with SEO settings or do I have something I have not done yet?
thank you

As far as I remember, with 2.x Joomla series, beside changing in admin panel, You need also to rename htaccess.txt to .htacces in root of your joomla installation.

Dear, no solution for this case?
Cyberek,
No problem with the template to fix this?
They've done tests, I installed quickstart version from scratch and updated to 2.5.11 without interfering with content and enable Use URL rewriting when not working.
And also the quickstart installation with template NewsII The World in version 3.1 works ... being the two versions of the same server.
Moderators, can some help or developers Gavick
Thank you

I have tested on localhost:
1. Downloaded quickstart package (The World News II J2.x version)
2. Installed,
3. Enabled Search Engine Friendly URLs
4. Enabled Use URL rewriting
5. renamed htaccess.txt to .htaccess in root of joomla installation
Everything works fine.
It seems like a strange problem with your hosting company. Maybe somehow You need to enable mod_rewrite for folders...
Please ask your hosting provider for help.

Cyberek,

suggestions that the forum below also indicates efetuei all and nothing worked ...
There is a category, have a last name, there is the article on the category, have a last name, the menu is on for a single article and also have a last name, does not have any date in these three places. Already cleaned the cache and does not work from the menu.
But calling this article inside another article comes right URL, see:
http://www.feagri.unicamp.br/portal/res ... lato-sensu
But the menu indicating the same article ...
http://www.feagri.unicamp.br/portal/201 ... lato-sensu

Still remains the problem ...
Can you help me please?

Cyberek,

I did not, but did
The issue is that the text tab, lets you put the alias, it does not have the option of the link and the menu appears "#". . . then it works ...

I have the article in a subcategory and call a menu for a single article.
Both the category, subcategory, and item are correct alias with ...

You can check with other moderators if there is something else to do, please!

Thank you,

Cyberek,

I think I understand now, and found the error ...
The text tab will drop down menus for those that do not point to any url that only serve to bridge and / or submenu. . . these if we put as text tab ... longer appear to date ...
I was using as external url and putting "#" in place of the URL ...
I'm already doing tests and post here ... to place as "Resolved". . .

For now,
thank you

Cyberek,

The other URL's of articles from default joomla and menus / submenus, solved!

And for cases of k2 what to do in case of friendly URL not to leave ...

portal/component/k2/itemlist/category/47-stages

The article stages!

Thank you,

Could you check whether the same happen on default Joomla! template like Beez ? For me it is more related with K2 not with the template.
