Positions style override

Positions style override is not working in joomla 2.5.4. Trying to get rid of the input floats left so forms look correct in modules.

I am working with geocode factory radius search and the template brakes the layout. Works fine in beez20

Is there a better way around this?

I guess it's not the floats I am after either. Not sure why I can't get this to view properly.

I commented

/*display: block;*/
/*float: left;*/

on button and select within joomla.css and it is now fine. Will I run into other issues by doing this?

If the class you have edited used in other parts of the website you might have layout issues
